Hello All
Im writing this messege as im rattling my brain trying to figure out why an original copy of a Mortal Kombat: Deception i got for Xmas doesnt work in my chipped Xbox 1.6. The game executes the start up movie once compete it asks for save set-up and to press start. after that the game frezzes for no reason, this is my first game freeze with the notorious Xbox 1.6.
So i ask does anyone have any ideas on what to do, i so wanted to play this game now im screwed for the time being.

Crystal Edition XBOX 1.6 - Samsung Memory Philips DVD Rom
Chip - Xenium Ice - Xenium 2.0 Software
Unknown Bios
Evoluation Dashboard

very strange..
If you have a mate with another xbox and modcihp try booting in it..
Otherwise, I would use DVD2XBOX to dump the game from the XBOX DVDROM drive to your XBOX HDD.. It also will patch the files so they can run off the hdd and remove any other protection that it knows about..
then boot it off your xbox hdd and see if it runs.. If it still does the same thing im guessing it may be what bios you are running or that the dvdrom is worn out (which i doubt very much being a v1.6)..
Also, have you tried booting the game with your modchip disabled (OFF)??
If it works with your modchip off then you have a problem with your bios..
Anyway, hopefully that should get you started troubleshooting your problem..
Hey thanks for the reply forahobby, i tried most of it to no success. So i did some more research, i read a in forum that a possible cause could be the cache folder needed to be cleared, it prevented some games from running at all.
So I cleared it and hey it worked, im over the moon now i can play Mortal Kombat FINISH HIM!!! lol
