hi i am looking for help my bud has just had his xbox modchipped with a an alladin chip the lad who did it said it did not need flashing and a new bios installing so gets it home and it does not work its a version 1.5 xbox any help on which bios i require and were to download i want to see if i can fix it thanks

how is it not working? how are you going to flash it if it ain't working? How you know it's the bios?
could be a d0 come off in transit or something.
Anyway I would use the Xecuter 2 4983 bios

boots up normally keep pressed for longer than 5 sec still does not allow copies light goes orange but plays originals was going to make iso but if needed can use usb to prog had it to bits still looks intact nothing loose or broken tested geting voltage to chip and i dont know if its the bios just grabing at straws cheers for bios

what chip is it? aladdin? If so they come pre-flashed anyway
have you tried your backups on any other xbox's? Do you know they work?
Have you asked the guy who sold it?

yes aladdin all the back up work on mine and i was wondering if the flash may reset the chip ?? going to backup the original bios 1st then try it what do you recommend ??

hmm, yeh reflash the bios, but be careful, if you have a bad fash ur gonna need a to buy a programmer or programmed sst chip
