I HAVE A VERSION 1.0 XBOX
XENIUM ICE
EVOX M8 BIOS
EVOX M7 BIOS
XECUTER 49837 BIOS
WHEN I FTP DASHBOARD/AUTO INSTALLERS, SOME BIOS'S FROM COMPUTER TO XBOX, AND TRY TO LAUNCH THEM I GET "ERROR: FILE WON'T FIT"
I CHANGE .XBE'S TO DEFAULT
I CHANGE .INIS AS INSTRUCTED IN READ ME FILES
WHEN I BURN DVD-R'S I USE HIGH QUALITY, THEY WORK AS DVD MOVIES IN MY XBOX FINE
I BURN AT 1X
I USE NERO, DESELECT JOILET, 11 CHARACTERS
I TRIED USING QUIX AND XISO
NOT A BURNT DVD-R ISO OR AUTO INSTALLER HAS YET TO WORK
I MAKE SURE BIOS'S ARE THE APPROPRIATE SIZE, AND CHECK THAT ISO'S ARE NOT OVER 1MB
I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO
DOES ANYONE ELSE?I'D GREATLY APPRECIATE IT.

Why are you FTP'ing a dashboard to your Mod Chip? I am assuming that you are trying to flash a bios since you are saying "File Wont Fit". Are you getting that on your computer screen, or are you getting that on your TV Screen from the Xenium OS??
Here is what you need to do. Make sure you have the factory HD in your machine, we'll start from the beginning.
Turn your Xbox on.
You should have the Xenium OS Menu in front of you.
Select Launch Menu from the list.
What do you have listed there, do you have your Retail Kernel, and your hacked bios?
If so, delete everything except for the Xecuter2 bios.
This way, you should only have two bios' listed there. The Retail Kernel, and your Xecuter2 bios.
If you don't have a hacked bios there, we need to get you to flash the hacked bios.
Select, Add Item. Then select "Flash"
After you do that, you will have a list of drives;
C:/
D:/
E:/
X:/
Y:/
Z:/
If you don't have a disk in the game tray, or you do have a disk and its not readable you will not have the D:/ drive listed.
You can either FTP the bios into your E drive of your stock HD or you can create a bios CD.
Please flash your Mod Chip so you see it in your list When you have your chip successfully flashed, please let me know and then we'll continue.

modgod, thanks alot for the patience you've had with me during the past 48 hrs.i get the file won't fit on my tv.it seems like when i ftp the bios to my e drive, its cool.i get the bios.it just seems like thats all i can get.but here i am, at the step that you suggested, retail kernel, and xecuter 49837, the one i believe you recommended.all other menu items have been deleted.

No problem. Now what you want to do is get your Autoinstaller disk.
I suggest that you use Xbox-HQ autoinstaller version 1.3 final, do you have that one or do you have the new Autoinstaller deluxe?
I was unsure if the 1.3 was still available. I hope it is, because it's a great bug free installer. It's a little more simplified too and I think that is a good thing for you right now until you get a little more experience with the machine.
Actually, I just took a look and it doesn't look like it's there any more, so you probably have the Xbox 1.0 AI Deluxe. Here is the initial problem with that installer. There was a video intro installed at the beginning that causes some issues when you first try to launch it. There is a fix though. You have to basically recreate the AI. Here is the fix.
DVD not booting (Remove Intro Fix)
This could be several issues, DVD Media, Modchip not in properly, etc etc.
The best tip I can give is burn the ISO at 1x for DVD using the latest version of DVD Decrypeter, and verify it.
There has been some instances where removing the intro from the Auto-Installer has allowed it to boot, this is what this post is mainly about...
PLEASE NOTE you will have to use the Recreate tool provided with the distribution of Auto-Installer Deluxe.
Solution:
1) Copy the aid10.iso file to the Recreate folder
2) Run the start.bat file. Halfway through this it will prompt you to make any changes before continuing.
3) There is a temp directory created in the Recreate folder which contains all the files. Firstly, delete the default.xbe file. Then, make a copy of install.xbe and rename it to default.xbe. Now place it where the original default.xbe was.
4) Continue the Recreate program, and it will produce an ISO called aid10new.iso
5) Burn the aid10new.iso using DVD Decrypter at 1x w/ verify.
Now, once you have the aid10new.iso file you can burn it to a DVD disk. I highly suggest using DVD-R media. You will just have more success that way.
You do not have to do anything with this ISO file. Just burn it using Nero if you want. I use CloneDVD2 but most people use DVD Decrypter or Nero.
At this time, you can go ahead and put in your larger HD if you are installing a new HD, unless it's already in of course.
Once it's burned turn on your Xbox.
Put the disk in the game tray and close it.
Go to your Launch Items menu again.
Select Xecuter2 bios.
Now your AI should boot up. If it doesn't, then you did something wrong.

only thing:
i don't see a temp folder in the recreate folder
just:
makeiso
start
uniso
and of course the aid10, but it doesn't say iso it says"aid10 winrar archive
but this is after i extracted it, and i can't extract this winrar so i'm assuming it's an iso, just looking like a winrar because, i have winrar, lol
does that all sound right?

You should have a Temp Folder, an application that says makeiso, another that says, uniso, and the batch file that says 'start'.
If you have everything but the temp folder, try making the temp folder on your own and see if it works for you.

modgod i tried everything step by step in great detail as you said to burn the auto installer deluxe and still have no progress.the D drive doesn't even show up when i try to see if the files are there.i have rebooted several times with the disc in there.
i useteon dvd-r
and maxell dvd-r
both brands play burnt movies fine.
i do have a version 1 console with the thompson dvd drive, so i'm assuming it has something to do with that
i burned several discs at 1x, verify written data, used dvd encrypter, still no progress or even the recognized dvd on my system.

It's your drive not recognizing the media.
You got to get that AI working. It will make your life so much easier.
