So far I have done (2) xecuter 2.6 installs on 1.4's and installed 250gb hard drives.

So, I go for my first xecuter 2.6 install on a 1.6

I did an lpc rebuild, looks pretty good. bottom line heres what happens.

chip off: boots just fine.
chip on: all appropriate lights come on, but no video display? I am using RCA's and everything has always been fine before? the chip hasnt been flashed yet, so I should get the flashbios screen, but nothing..

any idea's?

also, I have used the xecuter 4983.06 bios on my two previous xbox's, will I need to use a different bios on this?

Not quite sure whats causing your lack of video.

But, you will need to use a 1.6 friendly bios. The M8 is the ticket. Also, check your RAM see if it says Samsung or Hymem.

If you have Hymem, then you have a 1.6b xbox.

You will need M8 plus beta 4 bios.

Hope you figure your video issue with the chip activated...strange.
