is there anyway i can speed it up?, im only getting lower than 100k stable, but when there is lots of small little files it just overloads and crashes lol, anyway to fix ?

are you using flashfxp try using 10 half duplex i get around a 1000kb per second most fat xbox roms take less than an hour

i also get 9000Kb/s most of the time ,
use flashfxp or smartftp
get yourself a router or a switch thats 10/100 auto or a 100mb

ultrafxp is also quite cool, found it on accident and is freeware. not that it means anything to most here .
I just coudl'nt be bothered finding a dodgy download
