hey I had submitted a post yesterday inregards to having problems after I installed slayers evox auto installer. So I went about everything I could...changed the .ini file to go directly to dvd2xbox...formatted and reinstalled slayers...I even went back and reformatted and installed the newest version of evox the manual (3539 I believe) way still I can not reach the dvd2xbox app or any for that matter...also when I try and load the ms dash through the evox dash it also freezes in the loading screen...any help would be great _________________ XBOX V1.5

This was the original troubleshoot link http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/postt3173.html#16037. Did you try to go perhaps to bit torrents and find slayers v2.6? The slayers here takes you to an auto installer that these folks made. I have never used it but it appears to work for many. I used the original Slayers V2.6 and it did everything correctly the first time. If your chip is flashed with a working bios, our autoinstaller will work fine. It even has some programs on it that are more up-to-date than Slayers 2.6.
It has to be the way you are preparing your HD..you are doing it incorrectly. What bios do you have flashed to your chip?

I currently have evox m8 but I am going to try it with X2's newest one
other than that I just format my hard drive as retail and install all the apps correct _________________ XBOX V1.5

well after a few days of hell and multiple formats...it finally works. I'm not sure if it was because I changed my bios or if it was just time for it to work. But anyways I got lots to accomplish. thanks to everyone for their input it helped alot. _________________ XBOX V1.5

There ya go. I only use the M8 bios on the 1.6 version machines. I have just seen too many buggy things when running on other versions.
Anytime you use the AI, keep this in mind.
1. Unlock HD
2. Format Large HD if taking out stock and replacing with larger. Format retail HD if keeping the stock HD in.
3. Prepare Large HD with E+F support if using a bios that only allows for 6 partitions. This bios will end in .06 (Ex: Xecuter2 4983.06). Prepare Large HD with E+F+G support if using a bios that allows for 7 partitions. (Ex: Xecuter2 4983.67) {Both expamples were for larger HD's} Prepare Retail Drive if only using the stock HD. "Preparing the HD is very important. What this does is intall a file structer in the folders that will be needed when you want to run applications such as DVD2Xbox. If you don't have the proper folders made in the prepare process, then the AI will install incorrectly and you won't be able to select various applications such as PxHDD Loader, DVD2Xbox, or XBMC.
4. Install Dashboards
4a. Install MS Dashboard
4b. Install EvoX 3935 to C with E+F+G support if using larger HD. Note that you will not see Install EvoX 3935 with only E+F support. This throws a lot of people off, but don't let it bother you. Even if you only have an F drive and no G drive it will work fine. This is for larger HD's only. If you are keeping the stock HD, then you want to: Install EvoX 3935 to C with E support.
5. Install Applications to F
6. Lock HD
7. Go to "Install Other Applications" and choose DVD RegionFree for MS Dash. The reason I do this last is because it reboots your xbox when done.
I hope that helps anyone who is having this type of issue.
