I have x2 bios, evo x dash up . But I cant' run dvd movies, original games work , how to iso games to hdd??

How are you trying to launch the movie? Are you using EvoX's menu where it says, "Play DVD or CD from Drive"?
I am not sure what you mean by "how to iso games to HD". You don't ISO games to the HD. You can burn a game .iso to a DVD and then use DVD2Xbox or PxHDD Loader to rip it to your HD, but if you have a game that has already been ripped and you downloaded it and it, you can always extract the game and then just FTP it to your games folder.

I found ou that I need DVDX installed. That said I am having trouble getting my DVD drive to recognize the DVD-R(maxell). I have put the iso for the auto installer for evox on it . Can i install it through ftp to the file location F?

I have had problems with Maxell and Memorex as well.
But, you have to have a program that will burn the .iso. I use DVD2xbox, I think DVD Dectrypter is free, you can try that. You can't just burn it like a data CD.
You can also use Nero.

What kind of DVD -r do you use for a 1.1 xbox? I am trying to get DVDX on my xbox
