Hello. I have a modded xbox and now when i am playing either a backup or a emulator my xbox will just freeze or lockup. can anyone help me with this problem. i believe the chip is a smartxx chip with the avalaunch browser. thx for any help

Might want to try clearing out the content of your E cache folder and see if that helps.

ok. i cleared the cache and now it locked up on my backup screen. there is was also some flickering /distortion on the screen as well befoe it locked up/froze. any help appreciated. thx

what i meant was the screen that shows your list of games that are back up on the hd. Does these issues sound like a hd problem. I have had this xbox for about 6 years now. although it has been used lightly. It is basically locking up/ freezing during gameplay or even on the browser screen.

If you can back up the games and major info i would try a fresh install as the problem sounds like a software issue.
Best bet would be to use AID to do the install and if the problem continues i would look at the hardware next.
