first off hello everyone. Now, I softmoded my xbox with SID 5.1 with the dualboot method. Everything was successful but i then tried to install XBMCID using the softmod one click install..but once rebooted it went back to MS dashboard. When i try to softmod again once rebooted it keeps going back to MS dashboard not retaining the softmod. Please Help.

Are you installing to the C or the E drive?

since i'm kinda new to this, i basically just followed the prompts and believe it installed on C: drive. But now that it only boots to original dash it does not show any trace that the mod is installed.

Am I doing something wrong as a newbie? 243 views and no assistance?
**update** I figured it out with help from another board.. In case this happens to anyone else, I had to delete the installer and linux profile from xbox memory and unplug the xbox. Replug the xbox and start from scratch and it worked.

Burn a copy of auto installer deluxe and see if you can boot that up, if not then you will need to fix the content of the hdd with 360 explorer.
The main thing that went wrong is you need to install to the E drive bro, not C.
