Ok folks tatal noob here. Im a bit confused. I ftp my bins to my box. setup xcuter2. now heres where I get confused, I also setup evox. now in the Xenium 2.0.0.1 launch menu I pick X2 to load. but evox is in that list too. how do you utilize both? when I pick X2 to load it does but the only diffrence I see is the Xbox logo at the begining of the splash screen says Xecuter2 at the bottom. No other options anywhere. am i missing anything?

Thanks,
ImAnXfile

please try to ask questions that make more sense and your post have some kind of meaning to it

if you flashed your chip with evox and xecuter bios , then you have both of them in the menu ,

doesnt matter which one u choose to boot ,
if you picked the right bios for your xbox either one should work ,

u can only boot from one bios at a time ,

Ok I guess basiclly what im try`n to ask is how do you install a dashboard after your bios is installed. Isnt Evox a dashboard rather than a bios?

the people who made evox dash made a bios to go with it. It doesnt really matter what you choose the evox or x2 bios.

to install the evox dash ftp the files and folders over to f:\
then restart and evox should boot.

Yes, what you are choosing from your Xenium Ice menu is your bios. The bios is flashed to the modchip.. A dashboard is saved to your HD, typically in the C folder.

When you select your bios, the bios looks to the C drive of your Xbox HD and tries to find the dashboard. If it doesn't find it, or finds incorrect files, you typcially get an error 13 or 21.

You dashboard is needed to navigate and launch other applications. You can look at it as doing what windows does for your PC. You use windows to open programs and such. The dashboard is the same concept.

Without the bios, your xbox wouldn't allow you to even have a dashboard other than the MS Dashboard.

I hope that makes a little sense.

Where did you set up evox??

later

ok I put it on F but Ill move it to C. That clears alot up for me thanks alot. The only other question I have is do I just need to put the dashboard file on the HD on c or do I also need to tell the mod chip to look for it in particular as well?

Thanks.

Most bios will automatically look to C for your dash files. Some bios' were designed however to look to the F drive. I don't know what bios you downloaded.

Mine are always pointing to C.
