We all start some ware bro so see if this guide is as noob friendly as i think it is. http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/postt22438.html
I think the new ver of partitioner will do the cluster settings for you so you might not need to think about that and if the HDD is less then 250 you wont need to touch the cluster size for sure.

ok another thing... like this post started I was trying to put a new hdd in my freinds xbox but chimp will not run??? when I load chimp it goes to a screen that you cannot read (blurry) and then it goes to a green screen and just stops there??? it will not go to the screen with the penguin at the top of the screen... it freezes inbetween the the first screen and the one with the penguin at the top?? I am trying to use chimp v2.4 and tryed v2.6??? and I dont know what to do??? I tryed it with the AID disk and from hdd as an app but it freezes at a green screen??? sorry about so many problems but you guys know about this and I am a noob to the xbox modding world... I am amazed with everything and trying to learn.. If I am correct the xbox is a v1.6?.? but im not 100% sure of that?? I tryed using xboxhdm but I cannot find the eeprom file to put in the eeprom folder before I create an iso image?? how else could I go about this???
Thanks to all who read this!!!!!

The xbox is a 1.6 thats why you get the green screen, check the chimp guide at the bottom there is a link on how to telnet a 1.6: http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-255.html read that and see if it helps.
