I am trying to install a clean hard drive 250gb in a used unmodded xbox and I want to use AID. I reviewed the instructions and I'm missing something. I have the burned disk and it works so, my first question is:
Is there a way to perfom the soft-mod with only the new hard drive, AID CD, and the xbox?

I have done other soft mods before using a pc and xbhdm but, it took a really long time. I heard the using AID is faster and better especially for preparing the partitions. Any help to steer me in the right direction will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the site man, you cant run aid unless your xbox is chipped or modded so here is what to do to get going.

Fist download SID 5 and use it to soft mod the xbox like this: http://www.360-hq.com/modules.php?name=Profile&op=myblog_view&blog_id=249&id=90842

If you don't have a mem card you can make one for a bit of nothing like this: http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-194.html

Then to update your HDD you can use the Chimp APP from AID 4.0 like this: http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-260.html
