I recently dug out my xbox from the deep dark depths of my living room and I decided to try to change my dashboard, I did this by making a shortcut and I screwed up, so my xbox would boot up and show the logo and then give me a black screen with an orange light on my xbox. So I used my brothers laptop to burn AiD 4.30. I got it burned with all the addons (including trainer addon) and I installed the dashboards from the "Dashboard Section" (I always did XBMC) and I did this countless numbers of times. I got everything situated so I could use the "Softmod One Clck Installs" and I chose the "With Virtual C Drive" option and picked XBMC. Now I restarted and I still got a black screen. If I pop in the AiD DVD it takes about 2-3 min to start up (always did this) and yeah. I have a 320 gig hard drive installed and I use the DHCP version. If I manually go to "boot dashboard E" it works and it boots, I installed with the "C" drive and it it gives me an error if I try to boot from C. Any ideas?
Much appreciated

Hi, I have the same situation.
Tried updating everything on the old xbox which hasn't been done in ages.
Running Evo X M8 bios, I have performed the Softmod unload then I installed the newer Soft Mod.
Then did the one click Dash AID 4.40 Install. But It still doesn't want to load the Dash when you boot the xbox.
Originally I used Slayers and then modified the INI file to direct which drive has the boot dash. Do we need to do that for AID as well?
I am trying to use Evolution as the main dash and not XBMC like xRazer
Please help!!!

Remove the trainers from the dash and see if it boots then.

Yah, I was checking the forums and saw that!
Has anyone found which trainer is causing Evo not to boot?
That's a good one. Never found out but found a workaround. Move all trainers to a folder on f drive and point all your trainer loaders to wherever they reside. Ex: f:/trainers if still no luck delete all and ftp over one by one and reboot each time to check. Also delete ones you don't need. If you have to many running at once it will crash on you. Best of luck and let us know the outcome.

I've got a new problem now. I cant decide if its my network hardware or my xbox.
I have been trying to FTP and transfer files, but It will eventually slow down to a dead halt and just fail all the transfers. not sure what's the deal.\
I have tried Filezilla which seems to work the best, i have also tried c xbox tool and flashfxp.
im just stumped

You might want to try coreftp and smartftp. Both of those work great for me. I've never had your problem though. _________________
