Hi,
I got an XBOX that is modded. I do not know anything about modding or how to get into the xbox via PC. I have tried to get into the unit (conencted to my router) with my PC via its IP 192.168.0.2 but it will not allow me in at all, I dont have any firewall...
The reason I am trying to get in is because I used to play my games on my hard drive until recently the startup menu disappeared (the one that says "games & apps". Now it just loads into windows settings, memory, audio etc.. That menu to get into my games is gone.
I have no clue what to do because I am not the person who modded it & dont know who did.
In the event I should get in what should I look for or do?
What have you used to get into the xbox? You need an ftp program like flashfxp.
Have you configured the network settings in the xbox? On your pc network settings set it to dhcp. Do the same on the xbox. When you boot up the xbox the ip address will be given to the xbox from the pc. Then use the ip address assigned to the xbox and ftp to it using your ftp program. This is a very basic explanation and i suggest you google a bit on xbox network setttings: there are plenty of tutorials.

Welcome to the XBOX-HQ, we hope you enjoy this and all the other HQ sites we have to offer.
Sounds like you had a softmod on your xbox bro, by moving the modded dash files in the E drive its causing the xbox to boot to the MS dash and may need to be resoftmodded but this is only a guess going off the little info you have supplied.
Sorry, forgot tot pick up on the fact that an M$ dash is being used here, possibly Until you re-softmod/chip ignore my advice as you'll not be able to ftp into the xbox.
We need more info. What did the old dash look like - the one that said "games/apps" etc?
