Hello, a few years ago I modded my XBOX using the 007 softmod (installed EVOX). My friends modchip stopped working and he wants me to help him softmod his XBOX. I have some general knowledge of the XBOX, i just don't know for sure if it's possible to mod his XBOX without using a software exploit again. Please note that I don't have any of the games that can be used to do the exploit. I borrowed a friends game when i did mine. I do still have my XBOX controller to USB conversion cord. I'm not sure if this would help any in the process or not. I also have a backup of the contents of my XBOX's hard drive. I just need to know if there is some kind of tutorial where maybe i can transfer the files over to his hard drive and it would work. I realize that some locking and unlocking of drives would have to take place of course. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Any help would be much appreciated.

If you made an xboxhdm disk with your C and E drive and leve the eeprom file empty you should be able to do a hot swap on it like this: http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-161.html

This has a higher risk of failing then the game and save exploit.
