Hi i buy a XBOX 1 is a old one ver 1.0 i think
My question is......
Can i update this dvd firmware?????
I really dont know if is better upgrade the firmware (dvd unit)
OR make a soft mod
I´m searching a firmware update in google and forums but i find nothing.
Actually i got anything to make a hotswap , etc and read many forums.
Can you help me???
Is better only a firmware update???
where can i find it???

I can't exactly answer your firm ware question, but I'll try and ask you a few questions to help you make a better decision.
Is there a particular reason you want to update your firmware?
You mentioned possibly Soft Moding.
Are you wanting to soft mod possibly to play backups or use your Xbox as a media Center?
Personally I took the Soft Mod route and I can't be any happier. As well if I decide to go back I can just remove everything and I'm back to square one.
Back to your DVD drive. Do you know which one you have? The reason I ask if your planning on flashing your Firmware it might be a good idea to at least know which one you have.

how can i go back a soft mod???
i know how make it with hotswamp with the linux bootable cd
but i need backup something??? how can i meke this??? thanks a lot
