ok I've made the boot disc with xboxHDM. I connect HDD to master and have boot disc in. But whenever i have harddrive connected to PC iut steals all the power from the DVD drive. and when i unplug the HDD it lets the DVD work fine. So my problem is that i can't have the hdd and boot disc to work at same time. Any solutions?

Yes i have tried setting the jumper all three ways. when power goes to my HDD it wont let the boot disc load. and when i unplug the power cable to hdd the boot disc loads up fine and after i go to the VGA conhsole and type in xboxhd it says linux boot not found whenever the HDD is plugged in. But when it's unplugged it says nothing is set to primary but then the disc works. I am using vista so i don't know if thats the problem.

Just unhook your PC's HDD thats running Vista, you don't need a OS to run a boot disk and by taking the PC HDD off the power supply you will free up some power.
