Hello, My name if Donald. I did a softmod on my Xbox Saturday and everything went good. I'm using XBMC on my Xbox. I have cable internet and a router. I have 2 wired computers and one wireless connect to the router. I connected my Xbox to and extra port on my route also.
I was able to set up an FTP connection using WF_FTP95. (I know its an old program but it works for me.) I have FTP a couple of emulators and a few roms files with no problem and they work on my Xbox.
I also have my computers network together and I can us XBMC and look and the pictures and music files on my network.
Know for the problem. How do I connect to the internet using my Xbox? OR I'm I wrong in think my Xbox can connect to the internet? I can provide any info if need to help get connect to the net. Thanks for any help offered.

Welcome to the XBOX-HQ, we hope you enjoy this and all the other HQ sites we have to offer.
You should have net connection are you asking how to web surf like Internet Explorer?

The xbox will never replace your PC for this job but the best App for searching the web is LinksBoks v0.99 and you can get that off the AID 4.20 disk here: http://www.aidtracker.com/ with any bit client.
One of our members here had his PC burn up and used it for a week or so to post on the site, said it took some time but it did the job.
Aid also has an App called damn small Linux (aka DSL) that can search the web but its confusing and much harder to run.

Thanks a bunch. That worked.
Now another question. I start my Xbox and Unleash loads. I like to update the skins on my Xbox but when I go to System, then Skin, and then press Y on the controller to download skins I get 2 choices of sites to download skins. But when I go to ether site I get an "Unable to retrieve file: HTTP STATUS 11002" error message. What does this mean and how do I fix it?

Non authoritative host not found usually a temporary error during host name resolution and means that the local server did not receive a response from an authoritative server so the site might be down and you would be better off just using a PC to download the skins and FTP them in to the xbox.
Make sure the skin works with your version of unleash x.
