I installed a new 160GB HD today with xboxhd and it went perfect. Used the OO7 exploit to softmod to a dual dash with virtual C. Then I loaded AID 4.1 and thought I would just softmod one-click install to get everything loaded in the right places. But after everything was loaded and the Xbox restarted it just cycles through the green Xbox screen. The power light will go red for a sec as it tries to load EvoX but then it restarts.

I have tried to restore the C drive through AID and my backups but no luck. I've tried to remove the softmod through AID which was successful but after trying the re-mod with the 007 exploit the box still cycles.

If the AID disc is in the drive the box will go into modded state and will also play original games, and will load MS dash from the eject button. But from the power button it just cycles.

I've tried to one-click install twice now and had the same results.

Any help?

Stop doing a oneclick install and put the softmod avalaunch dash in the root E drive.

See if that helps out.

Thanks for getting back Wes. Actually I used AID to erase the E drive and reinstalled the softmod with EvoX dash. Now it works. Also installed XBMC and Surreal64 just to see if it would all work, which it did. Now I'm FTPing some skins over which is working as well.

Thanks for you help.

Just my 2 cents but this problem\or something very simular to it has been happening to me since AID ver 4.02 with one click install. Especially when you install the Evox dash. It turned out to be the trainers that oneclick installs. The trainers for Indiana Jones and Conker where the problem. I deleted them via ftp while booted into the AID disk or have deleted them via the built in file manager and everything booted normal. If I put them back on it goes into reboot cycle. It still has this problem up to and including AID 4.13. I have this running on 4 Xbox's (2 ver 1.4 and 2 ver 1.6) 3 softmoded and 1 with a ICE SP.

Welcome to the HQ PrimusZa1, we hope you enjoy the site man.

Thats why i found the best way to go about it is to one by one install all the stuff i plan to use.
The one click ez way is not allways the best way. Wink

Thanks for the Welcome!
In the long run when I create the ISO to burn for AID I usally remove those troublesome trainers from the addonpack and that does the trick. All I got to say is that software is one piece of work.

If you find a glitch like that you should send all the info you have on it to DJB so he can try to make a work around in the next AID build. Wink
