OK I'm back again. I went ahead and did a hot swap and was able to restore my Xbox back to new! Installed the 007 softmod and all was well. I tried to add some skins using the AID 4.1 by reinstalling the Evox dash and now I'm stuck in some sort of loop. The console shows the Xbox logo, then the 'Microsoft' logo, the power button turns red as the softmod is loaded, then it cycles again, over and over. The AID disk loads fine. I've tried to Restore the C drive using AID and also tried a one-click install. No matter what I try, after rebooting the console starts looping again.

I think I can FTP in to the box when it's in the modded state. Can I fix this by adding/removing something somewhere?

Help!!

Somehow I figured it out and got the Evox dash working again. I tried various processes from the AID disk including one-click installs and erasing the E drive. Various programs were hanging or shutting down the Xbox so I reburned the AID disk and did a softmod install. Now all is well.
