I'm running a 1.0 xbox with an x3ce. I copied the contents off the original drive via ftp then copied them back on the new 250GB drive I installed. When i turn on the xbox, I get to the x3ce settings page showing drive space and all the settings i can set/change.

I followed the directions on how to burn the iso. If i turn on the xbox with the iso in it from boot, it goes into the x3 config screen. If i try to reboot to dash, then the stock dash tells me that it can't read the media, blah blah blah.

What am I doing wrong?

thanks,

-Paul

will it boot any other disc?

Sounds like either a bad disk or that you havn't passed the x3 config screen to be able to play the disk. You have to turn off the setting in the config to skip the screen and to start up to the hacked dash. This way when you turn the xbox on it goes to the hacked dash right away. Then if you want to go to the config again, hold the white button during the xbox thingy (start up) and it will go to the config screen.

I burned the iso on a dvd-r made by tdk. I burned the iso and the 1gb dummy file.

don't have any hacked dash on it because i can't get it to load anything. I don't have any xbox games, so i couldn't tell you if it will play a normal game or not.

I do know that if i put a dvd or audio cd in it, it will play them.

Like i said you need to boot to some type of dash, no disks will load inside of the config screen.

I'm booting to the stock dash... cuz that's all i have.

I burned the AID 4.10 with the 4.13 updates. Tomorrow i'll try just the 4.10 ISO and see what happens.

You can just FTP the dash to the hdd and set the x3cl to boot to it with this screen:
