hi im new here.. I thought I had posted but I guess I didnt cause I cant find any posts and this looks like my first
I have thought a lot about modding my xbox long ago but I never did it. I dont have action replay. I decided that now that the xbox is getting old and the warranty is for sure over I might as well mod it.
firstly, what consoles can it emulate? can it emulate the gamecube? maybe event the wii?
I jut want to play zelda twighlite princess! the only nintendo game I might like... beside zelda ocarina of time.
now I see a lot more builds or installers... whatever there called, have come out since the last time I thought about modding it.
so where is the installer I need to get started with?
I have splinter cell the first game. I kept it ever since I discovered the soft mod stuff a long time ago...
so how and hwere do i get started. and what are those installer deluxe stuff? is that other stuff i can install once I mod it?
and is there a way to do thsi without action replay or no?

Ok man first off welcome to xbox-HQ we hope you enjoy the site and all the other HQ sites.
As for emulating the wii or gamecube that wold be a no.
You can emulate the atari, activison, sega, sega gen, nes, snes, n64, and ps1. (lots of hand helds too)
And last of all yes AID 4.10 with the new 4.13 addons is for adding apps dashes and such after the softmod is done.
Hope that helps get you started and again welcome to the HQ.

Welcome to the HQ and congratulations on your decision to mod your box! Not that a Softmod is a bad choice but you might want to consider getting a X3 solderless modchip and saving yourself alot of headaches in the long run. I can't tell you how many times I have heard of a softmod going terribly wrong and destroying the xbox. Ultimately the choice is up to you but I would do a little bit of research into each form of modding and get your ducks in a row before jumping into the deep end of the pool. Just a little bit of advice that you can take or leave but please wipe your feet on the welcome mat and enjoy your stay! Also if you have any questions at all please feel free to post and remember the only stupid question is a question not asked. _________________
