What do I have to do, or is it even possible, to have my chipped XBOX run without the DVD drive, I have tried just disconnecting it, that didn't work. I could have sworn that I read that there was some way to do this. All help is greatlt appreciated.

I am runing the one from the phoenix BIOS loader on AID.

If you load a bios into EV_TOOL, or another BIOS editor, there is a flag for DVD DRIVE CHECK. Put in your settings and make sure to uncheck that then flash you chip with it. Viola, you can remove your dvd drive. . Be careful when flashing your BIOS make sure you are using one that is compatible
Or if the chip works with the X-2 5035 bios you can use X2config to make it boot without the dvd drive.
