i have bought the platinum edition of splinter cell and called every used game store in my area i cant find a used copy thats not platinum can i use a patched download version or doesn't the sid disc come with the games saves is their a way i can do this with out the game.I have the cable and action replay. thank you

Welcome to the HQ man.
No you cant use the platnum copy (i have seen posts from guys saying thay did but it never worked for me.) and the onley way to mod an xbox without the OG disk is with a modchip.
Have you tryed looking for mechassult or 007?

there is another way you can hotswap the harddrive then you copy the entire contents of C and E drive (from a softmodded xbox) over to your drive
u can mess up the box if not careful with this tho chip or game are a lot safer

I've used this method quite a few times and with the kernel specific mod it is very stable. _________________

I agree its not all that great but thats the best way I've found to do it without the game. I've never had any problems with the Ndure mod so you can complain about it not bein as good as SID but it does work well. Also wes I wouldn't have mentioned it if he had the game so he can use SID I agree totally SID is a way better mod but if you don't have the game you gotta agree this is one of the better routes to go. _________________

I dont know man, i say get the disc for 2 or 3 bucks and use sid so you dont end up in here asking a bunch of sid users why your ndure wont work.

Very true but I use Ndure from time to time and never had a problem with it and he wants a way to do it without the game so I gave him one. _________________
