I recently discoverd that I had one of the newer Hitachi LG drives in my XBOX. I haven't seen it compared to the other three that I already new about, Philips, Thompson, Samsung. Can everybody let me know which drive they prefer. Maybe we can find which one is best once and for all.
There are four or five different topics in this site that have this subject, but doesn't include the Hitachi LG. I want to find which one is best.

I've had real good luck with the Samsung drive

My samsung wont read my dvd+rw's. Since the LG is a more recent issue I was just wondering if anyone knew it if was better in any way.

Well if it can read the disks that the samsung cant its better in that way right.

See what im saying man, the samsungs are held up to be the best by most you'r samsung might just need a cleaning.
Pop the top off and use a q-tip with a single drop of alcohol and it might start acting right.
