Hi ppl
I'm a newb and just installed my x3 chip but have problems.
as u may know, there r several ways of starting xbox. Quick press: Enable chip, long press disable chip. But when i do the quick press, it stats but then switches off and only shows red light (which means the chip is diabled). On long press it goes in MS bios and then shows a sign saying xbox needs to be serviced. I really need this to start working because i have an import coming and i won't be able to play if xbox is not working. I have been dreaming about this import for ages and can't wait. Plz can sum 1 help.
Remember no xbox. no life.

The X3 is such a new chip, I am not sure what it could be.
The long press what service error number are you getting. Can't help you until I know that.
On the short press does the power light on the xbox go back and forth between red and green??
Talk to you soon

If that IS error code 07, that's the HDD Timeout code. It could be a IDE cable problem or a HDD problem. I'm getting the same error message with my X2.3 Xbox when I try the Xtender mod. _________________ The World's Most Awesome Xbox 360 Room

I checked all the HDD connections but now I get a blank screen with a flasjing green/red button. The X3 chip won't boot into its bios and keeps switching and when i go into the Xbox bios i get a blank screen. Don't know wats gone wrong. Could it me when i installed chip or wiring. Could there be sumthing wrong with the solder on the D0 switch?? (I mean it was only a small dot on board)
Ummmm///.....I also accidently burned part of the green wire with my soldering iron, but it was jusy the plastic bit. I'm sure that had nthing to do with it.

If you could update a signature with your xbox version, bios that you used and other information it would better help us troubleshoot for you.
Thanks.

Do most Xbox motherboards have two D0 points? I thought they had a top and a bottom side D0. Am I confused? _________________ The World's Most Awesome Xbox 360 Room

To D0 or not to D0, that is the question. Well, my X3 cannot connect to the d0 but after readjusting the pinheads, the chip is booting up now, although i cannot get into the MS bios. Only thing is trying to load a bios on.
If the board does have d0 on tpo and bottom, can i resolve my problem. _________________ _______________________________________

If your mobo does have 2 D0s and you've screwed one up, I think using the other would resolve your problems... provided it IS a D0-related problem. _________________ The World's Most Awesome Xbox 360 Room
