Not sure the exact error, but something like that.

Background: All I wanted to do was update XBMC and MC360. So I did. I booted to another dash removed the XBMC folder and copied over the new one (Like I have done so often). But this time, the xbox failed to boot. No error, just the splash screen, and a lot of HD activity.
After many attempts to get it back, I finally gave up (Saw that my F drive was gone!) took out my old XBOXHDM disk and rebuilt my drive. Its about 2.5 years old. Then I figured I could pop in AID4 and do a 1 click install to get XBMC back as the dash. It started the extract process, then gave me the error above.
Now when I reboot the Xbox I get error 13. If I reboot with the AID4 disk in, I get error 14.

Any suggestions?
thanks

originally, about 2.5 years ago, I did a Hotswap, and used xboxhdm with ude. At some point later, I used AID3 to rebuild the softmod. I think I did a complete format from the AID disk and built form there using the softmod section. When AID 4 came out, I did another complete rebuild using the one click install with XBMC as dash. I'm old so my memory may not be accurate...

You can use the dashupdate found on most new xbox games! Be sure to 1st unplug your ethernet cable before you do so!!!

Besides that, just use aid to reinstall your ms dash on the C drive.

If you cant find any way to launch aid you will need to start from scratch with this.

if all else fails, you can take your XBHDM disc, and rebuild it with some extra files. But you would also need a certain game to do this.

But you say it does boot games just fine?

Yes, it booted games just fine.

I finally rebuilt my XBOXHDM disk for a basic MS dash install. The old disk was a backup and included whatever softmod I did at the time. This got me back to a "factory" box and I modded it from there.

Thanks for the help.
