I have version 1.5 with the coxcent video chipset.
I have a new Smartx v3 Soldered to the board as instructed. I have D0 soldered to the bottom on the mother board.
I can get the Smartxx to boot but when i hit Original Bios it does not boot up and when I hit the eject button it turns on for a sec and powers down. I have to disconnect the power for about a minute to boot again.
What do I have done wrong???

thx for the quick reply.
The next question ( i am a real nooby at this) is how can I can the evox dashboard installed on the system. I have the newest version burnt off but I can't seem to get it installed. At present I have nothing configured in the mod chip setting and I have been looking for about 4 days for a guide of some sort that can tell me how to get the bios and dashboard installed.
I am working on the network configuration at present.

Youll want to download aid 4.10 and aid 4.11(aid aka auto installer deluxe) from a bittorrent.
Once you got them use the updater to add the addon packs to the iso when done burn to disc.
This will have and let you do all the things you need to do to your xbox.
Look in the HQ tuts for guides on updateing auto installer deluxe.

Yeah man the auto installer deluxe 4.11 has the update for bios and the bios you need can be found in there.
Once you add the updates to the aid 4.10 iso you can use it to flash your bios and start adding dashes and apps.
When you boot up (if you havent flashed a bios) you will see a screen telling you to flash the bios like i said you can do that with aid or you can put you bios on a cdrw with a dummy file and flash it that way.

Burn it to a DVD-R some Xboxes don't read DVD+R, you could still try +R if you have enough DVDs that you don't mind wastin one or two. _________________

If you want to use aid to flash the firmware youll need 4.10 and 4.11 and use the add on installer to combine the 2.
Then burn it like jsmoke said dvd-r is best and if you need a guide to do the addons let me know and ill post it.
