any body thinking about joining the services me myself im going into the coast guard would be a great job since i can be stationed in Texas (location) and great salary

you know i thought about the marine Corp. of becoming a jarhead like a scout sniper i got a freakin awsome shot i can actually shoot a match stick 100yards away i think that is tallent lol but i dont want to go across seas to do my duty i rather stay in the USA and be able to stay near my famliy for vacation _________________ xbox AID 4.10 80GB WD

saw this in the active topics so i thought id respond
yes you should deff join the armed forces! military life is fantastic. you get benefits, an eye opening experience, places you never thought youd go and things you thought youd never get to see, youre set for life and can generally leave at any given time after a certain amount of set years.
the armed forces will pay for vitually everything like your education.
just know youre in for a long haul. its not going to be easy and bootcamp is not fun.
im not in the army or any other military branch but i am a Law Enforcement Officer.
you will never look back on a military life and say "man what a waste of time"

ive also heard a couple bad things about the military....like if u have no education when u get out of the military, u cant work anywherez b/c u have no education...so they may pay for ur education but where u gonna work while u go to school?? a fast food joint or somethin is not gonna support the whole family if u have one...so...idk im sure theres a loop hole there somewhere wouldnt surprise me:D _________________

thats anywhere you go
of course youll need a college education to survive if youd like a good income and a steady job. while you are in school at a younge age (say late teens early 20's) you get a job at the mall or you do something else.
the military offers college for job advancements. for instance in my line of work, you need atleast 60 credits of college.
do you think youd want an uneducated person dealing with your issues? thats why really. it just ups your chances for better income and better opportunities for job advancement
also youre forgetting that here are military housing for family. you also have an income that goes to them for food and other necessities
