I had a live account before that worked perfectly. I just installed the SID vers 4. It's saying when I try to connect to xbox live: xbox live is not responding, please try again..

You cant just install a softmod and sign in to xbox live. You need to set up dual boot. Basicly though, modded xboxes arnt alowed on live. _________________

I tried that. I did the Dual boot unleashX and whenever i go turn on Halo 2 for live, it just either says that I need a new live update or doesn't sign me at all without a message. How do I do this??

Sounds like you have been band.
But a ban will most often cause an error of some sort, when i got my box ban it made it so when i opend my game saves i wold get error 21.

if you have let the update go through u are definitly banned. Happen to me once. Not so bad though u can use XBC and do alot more upgrades. Just go by a new one and dont mod it.
Now with a question In the same area and concern. I have ben modding for a while and not a nub. But I have banned my xbox the same way the guy above did. I was wanting to try this one out and I am done installing. O yea this is the new 5.1 version though. Heres what I've done.
1 Choose Duelboot
2.Hacked dash/msdash
3.virtual c+ Eeprom for hd
what i dont get is this rule
"One small rule, when installing a Softmod with Virtual C, don’t select a Softmod Dashboard, because the Softmod tricks your Xbox into thinking that the C Drive is still stock (unmodded), so in order to access the MS Dash properly you need to remember this. "
Am I safe or did I do it wrong. I have always used Krazies. Im sitting in the mod installer screen now to hear word that im safe or need to change something.
Oyea this is not a banned xbox ether like the one i mentioned above
