I'm in serious need of HELP with ftp from my pc to my xbox... Confused
Here's my setup:
- xbox v1.0
- windows xp pro laptop
- xbmc (xbox media center) dashboard
- Xecuter2 modchip
- flashfxp
- NETGEAR wireless card
- 1394 Connection Net Adapter
- Linksys network hub
I've had them talking a few times before but recently reinstalled xp. The only connection I have are the 2 listed above. When I did it before there was 3rd connection as LAN but it wont allow me to create a new connection or set up a small network. Not sure if the problem is there or how to fix it.
The xbox and laptop are connected to the hub, powers on. Static IP for the xbox is 192.168.0.3 and subnet is 255.255.255.0 the other two are 0.0.0.0
cmd <ipconfig/all> shows only the NETGEAR connetion with IP address 192.168.1.104 but I'm not connecting wirelessly. I have the patch cables plugged into the hub!
I've changed around the xbox IP and the laptop's but still get nothing. The only thing I can see is I don't have a LAN connection for the hub network and/or under device manager my "Ethernet controller" is not working because it won't install, even using the disc.
Before, I went into the Internet Protocol properties under some connection (I believe to be the LAN) and changed the IP to 192.168.0.1 and left the xbox as static 192.168.0.3 but it's not working.
Nothing is working and any help would be awesome! I joined this site just to post this because I've been at this for like 4 hours now!
Thanks!

you need to find the correct drivers for your LAN card to be able to use it. Get that sorted first then try sorting ftp afterwards

honestly from doing home networks, I would recomend you get a Router not a hub.....
routers manage your network more efficiently and have better and easier setup....
