Hi All,
This may sound stupid, but my set up at the moment is an UnleashX dashboard, with XBMC as an application.
I have other apps (which came with AID 4.01), which are also in there too.
So my questions are:
1) Can you have multiple dashboards installed, so that you can choose what ever you like next time you boot up (ie. Avalaunch, Unleash, XBMC) easily?
2) If I make XBMC my primary dash, how do I make it recognise my other applications like DVD2XBOX, etc....
Cheers,
R.

Sure can man fist off you can have all the dashes if you want aid has an app called x select you can use that to selet wich dash you want to launch after a reboot and you can also use it to quick select an app from boot or reboot.
I am not sure what you mean about getting xbmc to recognise your apps, if you mean list or show them with out useing file manager then what i do is list it under the program section whare it lists your games just use the folder back button and add sorce direct it to your app folder i like to list my emulaters in thare to then make it the default screen.
Done right when you go to programs it will show games app's and emulaters need any more help let me know.

Hi Wes,
Thank you for your help. And yeah, my xbox is softmodded (Krayzie Ndure 1.1 method).
I think I understand what you are saying. It sounds fairly straight forward.
But when I turned on my xbox this morning to try out what you wrote, I was unable to find "x-select".
When I used the AID 4.01 installer dvd, I just selected all programs to install, so I have loads of applications on there, and I do not know what they do.
(Xbox2DVD is pretty obvious).
So anyway, how do I get x-select? Does it come with the 4.02 upgrade, or can I use another alternative?
Thanks man,
R.

I am back....
OK I found x-select.
I put in the AID iso dvd again, and installed it. Just installing some new dashes now, and then will try to configure the program..
WOOOHOOO!
Thanks for the linking the program idea. I will give that a shot next in XBMC, and will let you know how it all goes..

Back yet again..
I installed Xselect in both my F and E drives to be sure.
Rebooted.
Then went into the Applications menu, and could not find it. I FTP'ed into the box, and could not find it there either.
I re-installed it via AID and it said it did it, but I re-checked teh folders and it is no where to be seen.
Does the installer program create a folder called "X-select" in the apps menu, or is it called something else?
Thanks for your patience.
Peace out.

Sorry took so long the HQ is kind of laging but when you boot right after the flubber screen it will show a yellow box that will say X-select hit L,and R trigger to set up xselect.
Or you can soft reboot and then hit the LandR triggers to set it up.
Sorry i knew you needed help last night just couldent bring up the post.

Hi Wes,
Thanks for your reply. YEah this site is really really slow on my machine too. Not sure why.
Ok, after installing x-select, I rebooted, and nothing came up.
SO I rebooted again and pressed the L and R triggers, and still nothing. Did it again, holding down the L and R triggers, and same symptom.. nothing.
I read up on the program, and it looks like it creates a *.xbe file which is similar to the autoexe.bat file in windows yeah?
So I FTP'ed into the box and saw the changes the install made, and i think it created a evoxdash.xbe file. So i renamed it to default.xbe and rebooted, and nothing happened.
The tutorials say that it should install in the primary boot drive of the xbox, but the softmod (KRayzie Ndure Softmod V1.1) made a "virtual C" drive. I have no idea what that is, but i am asssuming it means that my original boot up files are kept in C drive as back up and to not touch them.
Therefore I copied the files in the E and F drives. But still no luck...
Boo hoo... any suggestions?

This time zone thing is annoying.
Here's an update... downloaded X-select V0.9 from Xbins, and tried to install it.
ie. ftp'ed into the box, transfered xselect.xbe to e:, renamed it to default.xbe, rebooted, and held down the two triggers.
Nothing.
One thing it did do, was disable the triggers in the dashboard and games which was wierd.
I changed it back to how it was, and will wait for you reply.
Thanks mate.

Your info said x-2 so i was going on the fact it was chiped so no go on softmods just use xbmc shotcut maker to make xbmc your defalt dash and set up a book mark with all the other dashes in it you can launch them like app's thats you best bet till i can look for more soft mod options.

Hi Wes,
I did it!
Awsome.
My only glitch, is that I think I have two versions of XBMC in my Xbox, and I may of linked it to an old version.
The reason being, is that I have a movie that is CD 1 and CD 2 of the same movie.
In my previous one, XBMC automatically linked them, so that it was one entire movie.
Ah well, not too much to configure now. At least it boots up ok. I made AVAlaunch a program application too, so I can use that gui while in there.
Thanks for your help.
BAck to the tweeking...

Thanks man.
I do appreciate all of your help.
Just wondering... do you know of this problem? (ie. XBMC auto detecting and linking avi files into one?)
