Hi Guys,
I bought a xbox in january of 2006 and had it softmodded by a guy. I also had him install a 40 GB Maxtor HD. I use the xbox 90% as a mediacenter, xbmc is my default "dash" when I poweron the xbox. (so I don't have a memory card or any of the loophole games needed to hack the xbox)
Now I have a 120 GB harddisk left over and I want to replace the 40GB with the 120GB disk.
I read alot of posts in the forum and also found links to this tut:
http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-153.html
Do I need to softmod my xbox again when replacing my 40GB with a 120GB harddisk or can I use the mentioned tutorial or maybe something like aid 4.x ?
Thanks for any help you guys can provide..!

Thats the same method I use to upgrade HDDs. Your not gonna have to redo anything once you rebuild your drive. The only thing is, any games/movies you have on your hdd, your gonna have to back up to your pc through ftp since they wont fit on your boot disc. Also, it would be a good idea to back up your UDATA and TDATA folders to your computer aswell. These contain all of your gamesaves and stuff like that. After you finish your hdd, hold on to the old 40 gig and your boot disc as a backup. If you ever mess anything up, you can either pop in your old hdd or use the boot disc to make a new one. _________________

Chimp with a 1.6 xbox is a bit hard for newer people though. If he has a 1.0-1.5 xbox then id say go for it, but if you have 1.6, you might just wanna use xboxhdm. Up to you though. _________________
