Controller port 1 on my xbox has died. Is there anyway to get the user interface on the emulators to work with controller port 2. Any help would be appreciated

Seems like you can change that under the controle config at the emu main screen on any emulater, but im with the real up thare swop the 3-4 set with the 1-2 set no more prob.
I am trying to use surreal and znesbox. Niether one seems to like controller port 2. I tried switching the ports 1/2 with 3/4. Still port doesn't work. Ports 2, 3 and 4 work with xbmc but port one doesn't.

so even when you open the xbox and pull the 1-2 set from the main board and plug the 3-4 set in to its pin conection it wont work?
Sounds like a need for some solder in thare some ware.
yes, i pulled the 1/2 port of the main board and plugged in the 3/4 connection. port one is completely dead. if i am unable to get port 1 working again, will i be able to use the emulators. it seems like the user interfaces of surreal and znesbox will only work with port 1?
