I am very new at this, so please forgive this question if it is out of league.
I just purchased a modded x-box (xecuter 2.6 with 250 gig drive on a 1.6 console running Evox). I am also using the XBox brand High Definition cables to connect it to a 60 inch HD widescreen TV. If I set any video setting of the console to anything other than default (full screen, no support for 480p,720p,1080i) things go wacko when running in mod mode: I get a multilanguage support error (21) if I try to access the settings, garbage on media player, and more than half the games say 'Loading' indefinately. Even launching a game off the DVD will not work. Games play fine when not in mod mode no matter what the video settings are set to. Are mods not designed to support High Definition?

hi lepricon,

Well that is a first ive heard of those types of probs..
Especially with errors like your getting.
Another member here was talking about how he didnt like some games coming up with curtains on the sides (BLACK BARS).

I have a HD Projector and dont have any probs apart from the occassional curtain on the sides.. It would be a good idea to make a post in the NORMAL FORUM areas so all our members can comment too..

Im not sure what controls the settings for widescreen. Maybe there is a file missing from your M$ Dashboard.. Do you still have your original RETAIL DASH? Maybe try copying everything from your c:\ (RETAIL ORIGINAL) to your new 250GB HDD.

anyway, we will try to get to the bottom of it for you mate..

One thing you could try is this:
Go and download the retail dashboard files from here..
Hopefully after you copy all the files from this download onto your XBOX C:\ HDD it will fix it..

This is just a guess. But it wont hurt anything anyway..
