At the Moment I got a running XBox, with the specs mentioned in my signature. But she's getting slower and slower, also I only got old outdated Homebrew on my HDD. so I decided to set my baby up from scratch. I downloaded the AID 4.01 and the 4.02 Update And now I'm kinda stucked.
There are so many bioses and Dashboards, and stuff like new firmware etc.
Which things would you recommend me to do and install on my XBox?
I don't have a proble setting up the DvD its kinda easy, but I dunno which Addons/Update packs/ bios and Dashboard I should use.
It would be really nice if somebody could help me.

Hi guy i wold say if it aint broke dont fix it so on to the app's the addons are made up of things like skin's and bios tools. I find if your xbox is set up and working the core iso is enuff to do most things and save the skins and such for hand downloading.
You can back up the addon's to your pc hdd and ftp them to the xbox if you want 1 or 2 of them or just go all out put in all the add on's and then you can sort them out from the disk.
Just my 2 cents.

I know that, but she isn't running great anymore, roms disapper from my emus, most of the games are running slow, and even the networking with my PC and even my Notebook isn't functionally. If thats how you feel format the drive but thare is no need for the bios add ons if your bios works.
and the core iso for aid is more then enuff to format and resetup your hdd so like i was saying just use the core iso to format and set up then ftp any add ons you like or put in all the addons and sort it out on the disc but for sure aid will have all the dashes and app's youll need.

Yeah, but I got some other questions aswell.
What is DHCP?
And why do I need the bios update for it?
Should I upgrade my evoX M7 to M8?
What is the Kernel and for what is it used, could/should it be updated?
How can I upgrade the Firmware for my Samsng DVD-Rom?
Which Bioses should I install via AID?

Ok man your thinking about this to hard, first off im sure your chip bios is fine but if you just got to change it use 3339, and dhcp is a network setting built in to the smart xx os that lets you update the bios with your pc.
Leve your kernel alone dont think about it.
Why wold you change the firmware for your samsung dose it not work or what?
You can get a pc samsung and mod it flash the firmware in it to work in a xbox but im guessing it works so thare is no call for it.
And if you flash a bios with aid then go with 3339 if its on thare but your talking about flashing like 3 bioses to your chip do you use that maney and if you do why?

The thing is i have run the same bios on my xbox since the day i flashed it seems to do just fine when it all works the onley upgrades you need is for things like your dash and app's as thay add things to them that make them run better with miner script edits.
Just start from scratch update your dash and app's it will smooth out the speed since its all running from your hdd if you have a large one the fuller it gets the longer it takes not much can be done about that.
