Well i have the emulator Surreal64_V1.0 from xbins. When i go to load up starcraft 64 ROM from any of the 1964, ultrahle and that other one, it will say loading on the screen. Once it hits 100% the screen will go black and stay there forever, and my HDD activity light stops flashing. So anyway i can get this emulator running? _________________

surreal is touchy.
i dont know if i have the newest build, and you might, so yours might be different, but when i load a rom...first it give me 3 plug in options, and then a nother set of 3 plugin options.
you have to have the right ones checked that are compatible to the certain rom (all have different settings) for it to open and play and run correctly.
"supposedly" the emulator is suposed to automatically detect and have the right settings chose...i dont believe it works like that though.
just play around with it and try different combinations. what rom is it?

It could be the rom. My Star Wars Rouge Squadron does that too. Im kindof contemplating just getting another N64 so I can play this game. I still have all my games, just not the system. And there are a couple of roms I couldnt find working versions of. _________________

Yeah. The ROM's can be coded into different regions, thats normally what the letters and exclaimation marks signify at the end. If you are running a wrong ROM, all you'll get is a black screen. I have a few that you click run, and thats it. Screen goes black and goes no further.
Its not the emulator, its the ROM that is the prob.

Thanks BG. These codes are very important when picking which ROM is best. Get one that doesn't meet your requirements, and all you end up with is a black screen.
