Yeah, can't stress that point enough. We will only support you in backing up games that YOU OWN. Downloading or copying games owned by others is piracy and as such, is illegal.
The AID and SID downloads come with a manual for you to follow. The best one to use is the AID v4.01 Manual.pdf that comes in the download. Simply print it out or follow it from on screen and you'll be fine. The softmod literally takes about 10 mins to do.
i guys i'm ready to softmod my xbox !! how can i do it any instrustion after i download the program?
i softmodded for my first time(s) about two weeks ago and have done it to about 5 xboxes since...so ask away if you have any questions.

A lot of people worry about it, especially on the first time. But in actual fact, the softmod process is really straightforward and easy to do. SID pretty much takes all the hard work away from you and does everything you'll ever need it to do, so all you really have to do is click and wait.
Don't worry, like joho said, you'll be modding loads of boxes before you know it!

I was really worried about screwing up when I did my first softmod, but like cloud said, it takes about 10 minutes and is really easy. _________________

Yeah, every xbox I softmodded but 1 I also upgraded the hdd using this tutorial right here--> http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-153.html . Took me awhile to get the first one, but after that it was a breeze. After I backed up my drives, I went back and installed Evox for the backup eeprom option. _________________

The AID 4.01 download also includes all the SID files too (needed for your softmod), along with useful programs like DVD Decrypter for you to use to burn the AID disc. Simply download AID 4.01 and you'll have all the tools you need to begin your mod.

I have a modded v1.6 xbox (softmodded using MechAssault) with XBMC and some other programs installed. I would like to get another xbox to mod for my brother.
Once I download the SID installer and gamesave exploits to a memory card using my modded xbox and load them onto the newer xbox by running MechAssault, can I simply (1) connect both modded XBOXes to the network and (2) FTP any other existing files from my original modded xbox to the newly modded xbox (in the exact same directories) to avoid having to reinstall XMBC and the other programs manually?
Will it matter if the new XBOX I get for my bro is not the same version as my current modded XBOX (v1.6)?
I didn't do the original mod, but since I have access to a modded machine, I was hoping to find a simple way to create two identical modded XBOXes without having to download much (or any) additional files.

errr... next time you have a question, please make your onw post. Now for some answeres. After the new xbox is modded, you will beable to ftp between them. I know if your using unleash x as your dash, you can simply connect to the other xbox and ftp between with the file explorer. Connect both xbox to your router. Go to the file explorer on either one and press start. Put in the ip adress of the other xbox and hit save4. now your connected and you can ftp beteen the xboxes. _________________
