I have 2 boxes; one is v1 and the other is 1.4; I want to sell one and keep the other.
Which one is better?
What are the main differences between the 2 versions?

Both about the same, both have TSOPing and extra RAM chips spots. If i was u i would keep the 1.0 though. _________________

If the 1.0 has a cpu fan and a daughter board for the ports, I suggest dumping it - If the small fan dies it could destroy the board as well.
The Philips DVD in the 1.4 is better and newer than the Thomson in the 1.0, if you do keep the 1.0 I suggest swapping the DVD drives.

I modded both of them. I think I will keep the 1.4. I was debating which one to dump. Here is my dilemma; The 1.0 has 250G HD, the 1.4 has 160G HD. I initally don't want to redo the whole HD exchange thing since I will have to start from scratch. But I think I will have to now. Thanks for your input.

Y not keep them both? I have 6 and dont plan on selling any of them. They arent in production anymore and there are TONS of possibilities for them. Everyone should have at least 1 spare

Philips drives are worse than thompson drives, even though they are both horrible. If you want a good one buy a samsung. _________________
