Well i soldered my X3 CE chip into my 1.0 xbox. It powers on fine, but it fragging. Sometimes it beeps when it turns off and other times it doesn't. So im wondering if my motherboard is trashed(which i would be really sad about) or is one of my wires not on there good enough? _________________

Good news
My motherboard is fine, its just my solder points. When i take off the chips Do/LED/HDD cable out of the X3 chip it boots fine, so its the connections there. So what connection is wrong then?
Edit: The chip does have power because it lights up and the x3 bios switcher power up. So if this helps that is ok too. _________________

Are you soldering to the top or bottom d0 point? Also how many lights are on on the chip there should be 3? 2 blue and 1 red or green.

Im soldering to the bottom, and i see red and blue lights inside when i turn it on just haven't checked the exact number right now. There was solder in the LPC holes so we had to get it out so if that does anything?[/img] _________________

the underside D0 is the easiest by far and should always be the first choice

Good news, it works
I just needed to melt the solder on the LPC pins somemore because it didn't melt into the holes to fill in the gaps. Problem solved thanks to burner for the chat _________________
