I will be installing a 200 gigabyte Seagate drive perhaps tommorrow when all of my mod materials come in. I have already burned AID 4 and cleared my Ver. 1.0 board of the solder in the area necessary for the Xenium Gold chip. My question now is, how do I install the new hard drive? I have viewed many posts talking about Eproms. However it is my understanding that the AID 4 software formats your Hard drive for you eproms and all.

If I have misunderstood that, could someone please give me the procedures I require to install my new drive? Also from the information I have gathered, this drive can be "locked." However, what does "locked" imply? Also how do I lock it?

Thank you: Mr. Terrific

if you put the chip in first then you don't need to lock your NEW HDD so it don't matter about your eeprom (mabe just make shure you have a backup on your computer mate......)

When you say "backup," are you referring to the new drive or the old one? I have no plans to touch the old one. As for the new drive, I could image it.
