Release Notes:
Welcome to the last version of Softmod Installer Deluxe.
This is basically a combination of SID 3.1 and 4.5 in what it does, however the PBL (Phoenix BIOS Loader) Softmod method has been removed and only uses NKPatcher 11.
You can only install the EvolutionX and UnleashX Dashboard from this (due to the size of the 8mb Memory Card limit), however after you Softmod your Xbox you can proceed to use Auto-Installer Deluxe to install another Dashboard (Xbox Media Center for example) and the rest of the Applications and/or Emulators you want.

Only a few small things, SID 5 has basically got everything that 4.5 had.
So, if you are running SID 4.5 and happy with it, there's no need to upgrade to SID 5.

I tried using this with mechasault and when it needed to reboot half way through it booted up to a error 11. I tried a few times and w/ Splinter Cell and still crap. I could not get this to work at all. Not even with the auto installers 4.0 disc. I had to fix it by putting the AID 3.10 disc in and reinstall softmod. Just thought people need to know this should be nuked.

You sure you using it properly? How come I never nuked my xbox while testing??
All I can think is that you've done something wrong yourself.

I had all sorts of issues too, error ?? (I think, it was all Chinese.)
I ended up removing the 4.5 softmod and then re-applying 5, which has worked now. I'm not using a virtual C:, as for some reason this would all ways error code 0
As for AID< Errors galore there, media center was not full installed, crashed a lot, some emulators error during install. I ended up extracting the ISO and ftping the files

Are you sure that you burned AID at a slow speed (2x or 4x) ?? Any higher could cause problems.

Just give it a little time, you'll see that a lot of people are having problems. I would like to say thank you to DJB for all your time and hard work you put into all the SID and AID discs but these 2 new releases are full of problems. I still stand by AID 3.0 and 3.10 as they are the best programs Ive ever used to help modify. Thanks again DJB

Hi i've tried to install SID 5 on my brand new xbox.. but after have done all the step written in the pdf (i had install with the option Dual Boot Softmods - Hacked Dash / MS Dash - Virtual C + Eeprom) the xbox start always with the original dashboard... i can't understand why... someone can help me? i tried with the UnleashX and also with the evox dashboard but at the boot the xbox start always with the original dashboard... someoe can help me?

I dont think any of the dual-boots work, just stick with a single boot with no virtual c for now...
