Since when I play my xbox I usually play it or watch a movie with it for atleast 2 hours, and its been on probobly up to six hours tops, I was wondering about mother board/ CPU tempetures. What would be considered a safe operating range and what would be considered normal? Also I was wondering about the option to increase fan speed. How fast can I safely run my stock fan without burning out the motor? I really doubt that I really need to increase my fan speed and I dont think I'm over heating my xbox at all. This is more for peace of mind since I'm really havent had the extra cash to go out and buy a new xbox lately. _________________
I don't think an xbox can overheat cuz i've left my xbox on days at a time and nothing has gone wrong!
If your xbox was modded you can change the fan speed but theres no point on doing that unless you want to hear that awful sound that comes from the back of the xbox when the fan is at 5x times! _________________ Xbox V 1.4

Standard shutdown temperatures for CPU's are around the 70*C mark.
Yours should get nowhere near there. You should find that on average, yours will sit happily anywhere between 35 - 45*C.
MB temp is always lower because you have the space and circulation, so it should sit between 25 - 35*C.
Unless the fan stopped working, the system was logged with dust and you were playing in a room which was 50*C, you should be ok.

Nah, like I say, unless something is seriously wrong, overheating isn't something you'll have to worry about.
