This doesn't belong in the Xbox-Hq Errors and Suggestions forum.
Moving to proper location.
Now... you are saying that you are softmodding, backed up the eeprom to your Xbox HDD only, then forgot to lock the hdd?
Do I have that right? _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Ah I see, so you want to copy off the backup of the eeprom and lock the HDD.

Ok. Have you tried FTP'ing to the box to copy over the eeprom.bin?
It should be located in E:\UDATA\21585554\000000000000\backup, if you did the backup correctly. Simply copy it onto your PC for future.
Ok, locking the HDD is easy. You can use a lot of apps, for example Chimp has an option to lock the drive. On some EvoX dash's, there is an option right at the bottom which says: "Lock Hard Drive".
Alternatively, I believe you may also lock the drive using ConfigMagic, another app for your Xbox.

I suggest hotswapping, I heard it works good... but I have tried multiple times and my computer does not detect the xboxhdm disk so it displays and error about no boot-up disk.
