What's xbox stand for? mate asked me and i didnt no lol does it stand for any thing?

It seems like the letter "X" is commonly linked with gaming.
Remember the X-Band, 32X, PSX, Megaman X, etc. For those of you whose memory serves, you'll remember that the Atari 5200 was originally called System X.
I'm not sure it stands for anything in particular, just one of those letters that companies love to add cos it makes their system sound hi-tech and modern!
So from now on, just call me........FinalCloud X!! lol

may-be there using the "x" like the famous Malcom X did, dunno, or maybe the microsoft gurus, couldnt think of a name, so they said well hell, malcom X used a X for his last name, and our game system is a box shaped thingy, well call it the X-box. lol _________________ Please post all PC Questions at PC-HQ.com
