im getting ready to purchase a unmodded x from my friend and i want to mod it ive been researching on the site but am still confused and have a few questions
1 what is the easiest way to soft mod an x
2 i see thigns called exploits which seem to be what you need from the splinter cell games if i download these do i sitll need disc
please help thanks

Ok, you'll need a few things to softmod.
The first is a copy of either Mech Assualt, Splinter Cell or 007. Then, along with them, the exploited game saves that go with them.
Next you'll need SID (Softmod Installer Deluxe) and AID (Auto Installer Deluxe). SID will install your new dashboard (UnleashX, EvoX etc), back up your C: drive and eeprom and get you started, (the exploited game saves are included in SID).
Then, you will use AID to install all of your applications such as DVD2Xbox, Emulators, DVD-X etc. After that, you have one softmodded Xbox ready to go.
Don't worry, modding the box is much easier than it sounds and think. SID and AID do a lot of the work for you and you'll be up and running before you know it. If you need any help along the way, we're always here to help.
