Hi all,
Managed to softmod my old Xbox OK, but ran into problems on my kids XBox crystal (which I think is a 1.6). I now have an error 13. As I had deleted the SC installer files, I can't just go back in and redo the Softmod. Games still boot OK but DVDs don't.
So to my question - is there a way of easily copying my drive to transfer the files to the kids Xbox drive? I have got the AR software & an 8MB mem card, but no USB devices.

Unfortunately, no.
You'll have to hotswap.

OK, thanks for replying. I was worried I'd have to hotswap!! Don't feel too confident, must admit!!

Just wanted to say I got my hands dirty and, after a couple of attempts (HD not unlocking), I eventually got there and have a fully restored XBox. Even better, used Krayzie's Mod and now fully softmodded. Thanks DM for referring me to the tutorial, it was really helpful.
