Hello All, I'm new to XBOX's but I've been reading everywhere on what to do, but I'm still confused.
I ordered a new Premod for an arm and a leg, so it's a little hard to type.
It supposed to have a 120 gig hard drive
Executer 3 CE - soldered I hope w/ bank switches
I believe it will still have the original cromwell bios installed
What do I have to do first, besides wait for the box to arrive?
I already ftp'd:
X3 3294 - I assume it's the newest Bios
SlaYers_EvoX_Auto-Installer_v2.7FINAL
Other than that I don't know what I'm supposed to do first once the unit arrives.
I know, take it out of the box!
Thanks for any and all help.

Thanks, I have already read that, in anticpation of getting the new system. It's only been 5 days since I ordered it, yet I still can't wait.
Is flashing the Bios with the Executer 3 the first thing I need to do after I unpack and power up the system?
Once that's done, do I set all the switches back to off, or does it matter?
If Flashing the X3 Bios is the first thing to do, I assume loading some sort of Dashboard would be next.
What is AID? Is that something else I need to Find?
Thanks for replying to a Noob.

Yes, the first thing you have to do is flash the bios, here is the link on how to do that http://www.team-xecuter.com/flashbios/ and you have know what version it is, because you need the right bios, theres 2 versions of X3 3294, one is for xbox versions 1.1-1.5, the other one is for version 1.6. and we dont use the slayers around here, we use AID(Auto Installer Deluxe) V3.10 you can get it if your a VIP here or from Torrents.. AID very easily installs you dashboard, and upgrades your hardrive if you want one.. Any more questions just ask

I bought a used Xbox Version 1.6 MB also bought a X3 kit from Divineo - Great place BTW. My first attempt at Modding an Xbox and it seemed to go well. I also installed a 160 gb hard drive in it as well.
I flashed the first 1024 K bios with X3 3294 though finding the right one was a bit tough. Strangely enough, the Xbox booted the first time, and the chip worked.
I downloaded Slayers Evox 2.7, and AID 3 package. I'm new to Xbox's s and didn't understand what to do yet with AID 3, so I opted to install Slayers EVOX 2.7 to test my hard drive or whatever.
I'm not sure I have done these things right though
I understand the 3 different ways the X3 powers up
Quick Press, Long Press, and Dual Press
but this is where I'm not sure if my setup is right
a Quick press boots up to the X3 3294 Screen, then I have to boot to Dash. I don't know if this is Normal or not
a Long press boots up to the MS Dash- which of coarse disables the chip
I don't know if this is supposed to boot straight into a Dash other than MS Dash or the X3 Screen. I would like it to, but I'm not sure it's supposed to

ok, slayers is outdated, majorly, how did you download aid? with a bunch of .rar files? also with the chip enabled, "short" press it should go to Config live, has some options on it, but what you want to do first is get the AID working... if you downloaded it and its a bunch of .rar files unrar the first file it might take a second its a big fine, and there should be a .iso in there, then use a program like DVDdecrypter to take the .iso and burn it onto a Dvd-R _________________ (2) XBOX v1.4:

Okay, I used Decryptor to burn the ISO, and installed it using the one click method. I think I may have unenabled the Config live screen though! Is there a way to get back to it?
I was able to find the HQAid3.10 Rar files in a newsgroup somewhere.
After extracting the Rar files, it had the ISO, and a bunch of other files in the rars. I suppose if one knew what they were doing, they could rebuild the Basic Iso with some of the addons that were in the original Archive. From what Iv'e read about it, you just have to include only the addons you want.
Do I have to reflash the X3 to get the config live screen back? or is there a shortcut to get back to it? Thanks for your help.

No you can get to the configure live screen by booting the Xbox with a quick press of the power button and then holding the white button on the controller. You could even start holding the white button before you turn it on and it should boot to the configure live menu.
