Hi there,
I have recently updated my xbox hdd using this tut http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-185.html and everithing goes fine, except when i place the new hdd in xbox and start it up it boots for microsoft dash and not unleash as in the original hdd.
Any ideia of what could this be?

The c: and e: image you used to make the xboxhdm disc must have been an image of a retail dash not a modded dash.
Simply, you'll just have to softmod the new hdd. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

Any way to softmod withouth need to by any equipment?

Try the hotswap method for it. Get the softmod files from the vip section and just rebuild the hdd _________________

If you dont have VIP access, another avenue to try is xbins. There are several tut's out there that show how to get files from them.
