Okay, I tried it word-for-word from the manual. it said the softmod successfulyl installed, and it needs an extra step so I pressed A.. then when it rebooted my XBOX it said it couldn't load my dashboard. I pressed A to restore from backup, then it rebooted with the same message. Any help appreciated. I restored my old dash backup from my XBOX original one, so if I need to start over, I'm on my old M$ dash, which is the latest version.
My XBOX version is the latest (1.6B)
